More than 500,000 Australians are living with dementia and more than 1.5 million family and friends are their carers. Living with it is one of life’s most challenging experiences for everyone involved, as it has no cure and the support environment is too overwhelming and complex for carers to navigate and effectively provide care. The My Dementia Companion tool is the world’s first smart dementia assistant that guides family and friend carers through this difficult journey by providing them with bite-sized, practical and personalised support information whenever it is needed.
Nan is a passionate advocate for improving dementia care with experience in health, aged care and the pharmaceutical industry. He has worked as a clinical pharmacist, management consultant and senior commercial excellence manager for a global pharmaceutical company. He also donates his time generously as the board member for a not-for-profit dementia service provider and care volunteer. He has a double degree, Bachelor of Pharmacy (H1 Hons) and Commerce, from Monash University.
