Tremolo was created by two musicians, Pav Chudiak and Jake Johnson, with the mission of connecting people with professional musicians to help make their event one to remember.
As former graduates of the Victorian College of the Arts, and seasoned performers themselves, Jake and Pav knew just how difficult it was for customers to find the perfect artist for any occasion. They've developed a discovery platform that has transformed a process, which previously took weeks to just minutes. After being awarded Darebin Council's ‘Best New Tech Business Award’ in 2016, the team joined the MAP Velocity program later that year then was accepted into the MAP cohort in 2018 where they focused on growing and scaling their service.
They’ve since become a favourite channel for many live artists, providing an easier way for them to reach a larger audience, and for clients it has provided an entirely new and easy way to source live music. Tremolo has attracted the attention of investors, raising a $50,000 in pre-seed funding in one year.
Jake has spent the majority of his working life in the event music industry. Beginning with paid performances on his saxophone at the age of 12, he continued his professional musician journey into his 20s, where he built The Bombastics Band to become a six-figure AR business. After a decade of small business experience, Jake and bandmate Pav launched Tremolo, a tech solution to some of the glaring issues in the events industry.
