Founded by Kalen Iselt, Wilton Halim, Caue Motta, Mobilkamu.com is an online new car dealership helping car buyers in Indonesia get the best price for their dream car.
The startup joined the Accelerator program in 2015, focused on growing and scaling their startup which handles every aspect of the purchasing process; from choosing the ideal vehicle, to finance application, sourcing stock and finally delivery of the vehicle.
Since this stage, the company has grown rapidly, selling more than 1000 cars, achieving more than AUD $1.5 million per month in GMV (gross merchandise value), and now employing more than 50 full-time employees.
Kalen started Mobilkamu.com with his co-founder, Wilton, after having a small amount of start-up experience with a previous company, now called BikeExchange.com.
When they began working on Mobilkamu from York Butter Factory in Melbourne as an idea only, but one always intended to disrupt the car market in Indonesia. After being accepted into MAP they decided to pursue this opportunity with more intent, and with one thing leading to another, raised funding and made the move full-time to Indonesia.
Two and a half years later they have a great team, have narrowed they product and are continuing to grow rapidly. Acting as the COO, he is responsible for managing all operations, finance and product developments. It's been amazing to witness the growth of their team and experience a new culture in Indonesia.
