Boasting a founding team that includes a former ex-Zomato business lead, and a member of Forbes 30 under 30 – Asia, Honee was a startup that was always going to make a serious impact.
They joined the Accelerator in 2016, with their startup that offers beauty and wellness salons an online end-to-end booking service and online shopfront, having recognised that the majority of Australian salons weren’t taking bookings online at the time.
The team had surveyed over 10,000 salons across Sydney and Melbourne and discovered less than 40% had a web presence and 0.2% of bookings were made online – and they set out to change that.
Since launching, Honee have provided over 3 million bookings for over 10,000 salons, and believe their greatest competitive advantage remains in their automated and predictive client retention which increases salon revenue by an average of 20% in the first month.
The startup continues to scale at a rapid rate, and to support this growth have raised over $2 million in funding along the way, including investment from venture capital firm Blackbird Ventures.
