Velocity Program: Selection Process

MAP Velocity Program

The Velocity Program helps early-stage founders to speed up their search for problem-solution fit and discovery of first customers.

Applications for MAP Velocity Program open Monday 1st May 2018.

Watch this space for more updates.

Open to both for profit and for impact startups, you will leave with clarity and accountability in your startup and a strengthened network of like-minded, motivated founders and mentors. By merging the worlds of startup and social enterprise, we also create a valuable experience for startups focused on social or environmental impact.

The Velocity Program comprises evening workshops from July until October 2018. The program concludes with a Early Founder Startup Showcase in February 2019.

The Velocity Program is a blend of theory and skilled-based workshops, networking, and mentorship. We will help you through the common sticking points startups face as you test your business model using lean startup and customer discovery techniques developed in Silicon Valley. There are also workshops designed to equip impact founders with powerful impact gap analysis techniques developed in the UK.

MAP supports all kinds of startups across a broad range of categories. The Velocity Program is open, through a competitive application process, to 20 startups (10 for profit and 10 for impact).

No University of Melbourne affiliation is required for this program.

The program costs $500 per founder.

All applicants will need to be available for the key selection dates outlined below. The 20 successful startups are invited to spend time in the MAP office and will also be invited to attend select Startup Accelerator workshops.

Please subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Facebook for updates on selection.

If you’re a highly motivated founder, apply for the Velocity Program.
